Peter Gentle
Peter Gentle (born ) is a former Australian rugby league coach and former footballer who played in the 1980s. Gentle is currently the Recruitment Manager of Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. Club career A halfback and St. George junior, Gentle played three games of first grade for St. George Dragons over two seasons between 1987–1988, featuring mostly in the lower grades. Prior to that, he had played for Mansfield Marksman in the Rugby Football League in England during the 1986–87 season. He is the son of former Western Suburbs Magpies and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs coach, Ken Gentle. Coaching career Gentle captain-coached the Camden Rams to consecutive Group 6 Rugby League first grade premierships in 1997 and 1998. Gentle was employed as the head coach of Hull FC in the English Super League in 2012 and 2013. Parramatta Eels
The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL). The Parramatta District Rugby League Football Club was formed in 1947, and their home ground was Cumberland Oval. After the 1981 grand final win fans damaged Cumberland Oval which was later replaced by Parramatta stadium on the same site. As of 2019, Parramatta's home ground stadium has been rebuilt and they now play as the co-tenants at Western Sydney Stadium, which sits on the same site that was once Parramatta Stadium. It took thirty years for the club to make the grand final, which they did in 1976 and 1977, losing on both occasions. Anthony Seibold
Anthony Seibold () (born 3 October 1974) is an Australian rugby union and rugby league coach, and former rugby league player. He was defence coach with the England national rugby union team, and since 2023 has been head coach for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles of the National Rugby League (NRL). Seibold played rugby league for the Brisbane Broncos, Saint-Esteve, Canberra Raiders, London Broncos and Hull Kingston Rovers. After retiring, he moved into coaching, and was head coach of the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the 2018 NRL season, and of the Brisbane Broncos from 2019 to 2020. He moved to rugby union as an assistant coach for England in September 2021, before returning to rugby league as head coach of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in November 2022. The Italy national rugby league team represents Italy in rugby league football. With origins dating back to the 1950s and 1960s, the team has competed regularly in international competitions since 2008, when their current governing body, the Federazione Italiana Rugby League, was formed. Test Match (rugby League)
A Test match is a historical term used in rugby league football which has no official use with the sports global governing body – the International Rugby League (IRL). The term predates the creation of the IRL, thus every national governing body has slightly varying definitions which has changed throughout history. As such, it is possible for a game to have test status in one nation but not the other. The Rugby Football League (RFL), the governing body in England and first governing body of the sport, currently defines a "Test Match" as "a game of Rugby League Football played between teams representing members of the IRL". The first official test match took place on 1 January 1908 when Wales defeated New Zealand 9–8 at the Aberdare Athletic Ground in Aberdare, Wales in front of approximately 15,000 fans.
