Biography Browne finished third behind Dave Cropper in the 800 metresevent at the 1969 AAA Championships, then improved to runner-up behind Andy Carter at the 1970 AAA Championships before becoming the British 800 metres champion at the 1971 AAA Championships. Queen's Park Harriers
Queen's Park Harriers are a track and cross country running club based in Willesden Green in London, United Kingdom with a current focus on long distance running competitions. Having been founded in 1887 the club has been in continual existence for over 100 years. The club are one of nine London clubs that compete in the annual Summer League, an event that takes place across several London parks over the course of the summer months as well as several cross country championships in North London and Middlesex. Dave Cropper
David Cropper (26 December 1945 – 3 December 2016) was a British middle-distance runner. He competed at the 1968 Summer Olympics and the 1972 Summer Olympics. Biographyt He was born in Birmingham and attended the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Mansfield. He grew up in Mansfield Woodhouse. At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he represented Great Britain in the 800 metres event. Cropper became the British 800 metres champion after winning the British AAA Championships title at the 1969 AAA Championships Cropper participated in the 1969 European Athletics Championships in Athens. Cropper was runner-up in the same event at both the 1971 AAA Championships and 1972 AAA Championships. Andrew William Carter (born 29 January 1949) is a male British retired track and field athlete who competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Biography Carter became the British 800 metres champion after winning the British AAA Championships title at the 1970 AAA Championships. Carter won the bronze medal at the 1971 European Championships in Helsinki, Finland, in the men's 800 metres, behind Yevgeniy Arzhanov (Soviet Union) and Dieter Fromm (East Germany) in a time of 1:46.16. Carter regained his AAA title at the 1972 AAA Championships before participating in the men's 800 metres at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany.
