Peter Bishop (scientist)
Peter Bishop (14 June 1917 — 3 June 2012) was an Australian neurophysiologist whose research involved study of the mammalian visual system. He was elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science in 1967 and Fellow of the Royal Society in 1977. Neurophysiology is a branch of physiology and neuroscience concerned with the functions of the nervous system and their mechanisms. Australian Academy Of Science
The Australian Academy of Science was founded in 1954 by a group of distinguished Australians, including Australian Fellows of the Royal Society of London. The first president was Sir Mark Oliphant.
