Peter Barrett Davis
Peter Barrett Davis (born 1958) is an American automotive designer. He is especially known for designing car interiors, mainly at General Motors and Fiat Auto. After finishing his education in 1981 at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, CA, Davis started his career in the European branch of General Motors: at Opel in Rüsselsheim, he worked on the interiors of the Vectra A, the Omega A and the Corsa B. From 1985 until his departure end of 1989, Davis was Assistant Studio Chief for interiors at Opel. From 1990 until 1999, Davis worked for Fiat Auto in Turin, amongst others on the interiors of the 1993 Punto, Bravo/Brava, Barchetta, Seicento, and the 1998 Multipla. In 1993 Davis became Design Director at Centro Stile Fiat and Lancia. Fiat Seicento
The Fiat Seicento (Type 187) is a city car produced by the Italy, Italian company Fiat, introduced at the end of 1997 as a replacement for the Fiat Cinquecento, although it was also based on the Cinquecento. The Seicento did not differ much from its predecessor, retaining the same engines, chassis and general dimensions, although it did gain a minor 90 mm in length (total length of 3,340 mm). Like its predecessors, the Cinquecento and Fiat 126, Polski Fiat 126, the Seicento was built in Fiat's factory in Tychy, Poland. From March 1998 to April 2004, 1.1 million units of the Seicento had been produced. The Seicento name comes from the Italian word for 600; the Seicento is the spiritual successor to the Fiat 600. Raymond Loewy ( , ; November 5, 1893 – July 14, 1986) was a French-born American industrial designer who achieved fame for the magnitude of his design efforts across a variety of industries. The Fiat Multipla (Type 186) is a six-seater car produced by Italian automaker Fiat from 1998 to 2010. Based on the Bravo/Brava, the Multipla was shorter and wider than its rivals. It had two rows of three seats, where its compact MPV competitors had two across front seating. The Multipla is shorter than the three-door Bravo/Brava on which it was based, yet it offered increased seating and cargo volume. Sales commenced in Italy in November 1998.
