Monroe Invitational
The Monroe Invitational Championship is an annual amateur golf tournament in the United States, played since 1937 at Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford, New York, a suburb southeast of Rochester. Originally a match play event, it switched to 72-hole stroke play format in 1998. The MIC is a "category B" tournament in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, meaning it is one of the top 100 men's amateur tournaments in the world. The course at Monroe Golf Club opened in 1924 and was designed by Donald Ross. Nick Palladino won the 2013 event in a playoff. Due to rain, the event had been shortened to 54 holes. The 1970 Australian Rally Championship was a series of five rallying events held across Australia. It was the third season in the history of the competition. Peter Haas (engraver)
Christian Peter Jonas Haas (12 April 17541804) was a German-Danish engraver, born and initially working in Copenhagen. Two of his brothers, Georg and Meno, and his father Jonas were all engravers. Haas engraved a number of plates documenting Carsten Niebuhr's travels in Arabia, idealizing and moralistic genre art works by Daniel Chodowiecki and related works by Erik Pauelsen. Haas, however, for economic reasons, also undertook to carry out commercial graphics such as business cards, embroidery patterns and almanacs. Mekong Delta (band)
Mekong Delta is a German thrash metal band, formed in 1985. History The band was founded by a group of German metal musicians with the goal to 'musically outshine' all then-current, independent releases. The line-up and the history of the group was to be "the best kept secret in the world". The project participants decided to keep everything about the band a secret, assuming German musicians would not be accepted internationally. The initial name "Zardoz" was rejected, followed by the acceptance of the name "Mekong Delta", named after a riverbed in Vietnam. The entire project was started by Ralf Hubert, sound-engineer for Warlock, Steeler and Living Death, and owner of the record label Aaarrg Music.
