Peshev Peak
Peshev Ridge (Peshev Rid \'pe-shev 'rid\) is a crescent-shaped ridge in central Tangra Mountains extending along the northeast coast of Brunow Bay and southeast of Macy Glacier, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. Its east extremity is formed by the summit St. Naum Peak (), separated from Balchik Ridge to the east by Starosel Gate. The ridge was named in honour of Dimitar Peshev (1894–1973), who led the nationwide campaign that kept Bulgaria’s Jews safe during the Holocaust. Antarctic Place-names Commission
The Antarctic Place-names Commission was established by the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute in 1994, and since 2001 has been a body affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Bulgaria), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria. The Commission approves Bulgarian place names in Antarctica, which are formally given by the List of Presidents of Bulgaria, President of the Republic according to the Constitution of Bulgaria, Bulgarian Constitution (Art. 98) and the established international practice. Needle Peak (Antarctica)
Needle Peak is a sharply-pointed black peak, 370 m, standing at the west side of Brunow Bay on the south coast of Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands. It is situated in the southeast foothills of Friesland Ridge, Tangra Mountains on Rozhen Peninsula, 1 km south-southeast of Ludogorie Peak, and surmounts Prespa Glacier on the west, Brunow Bay on the northeast, Opitsvet Lake on the east and Samuel Point on the east by south. The feature was named ‘Barnards Peak’ on James Weddell's chart published in 1825, but the name ‘Needle Peak’, given by Discovery Investigations personnel following a 1935 survey, has succeeded it in usage. Lyaskovets Peak
Lyaskovets Peak (, ) is the easternmost peak of Friesland Ridge in the Tangra Mountains, eastern Livingston Island and has an elevation of 1,473 m. The peak is bounded by Catalunyan Saddle on the west and Shipka Saddle on the east, and is heavily glaciated and crevassed, with precipitous western, southern and eastern slopes. It surmounts Huron Glacier to the northwest and northeast, and Macy Glacier and Brunow Bay area to the south. Its northern offshoot forms Zograf Peak, and is linked to Lozen Nunatak, Erma Knoll and Aheloy Nunatak in Huron Glacier. The peak is named after Lyaskovets, a town in central northern Bulgaria. Great Needle Peak
Great Needle Peak (, ; variant name in ) is the summit of the central Levski Ridge in Tangra Mountains on Livingston Island, Antarctica. Rising to 1,679.5 m, it is the third highest peak of both the mountains and the island after Mount Friesland (1700.2 m) and St. Boris Peak (1685 m).
