Pervomaisk Raion () is a raions of Ukraine, raion (district) in Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine. Its administrative center is the town of Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv Oblast, Pervomaisk. Population: History In the beginning of the 19th century, the current area of the district belonged to Olviopolsky Uyezd of Kherson Governorate. In 1828, Olviopolsky Uyezd was merged with Yelisavetgradsky Uyezd into Bobrinetsky Uyezd. In 1865, the administrative center of Bobrinetsky Uyezd was moved to Kropyvnytskyi, Yelisavetgrad, and the uyezd was renamed Yelisavetgradsky. In 1919, Olviopol was merged with Bohopil and Holta to form the city of Pervomaisk. On 16 April 1920, Kherson Governorate was renamed Nikolayev Governorate, and on 21 October 1922, it was merged into Odesa Governorate. A raion (; ), often translated as district, is the second-level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, administrative division in Ukraine. Kropyvnytskyi
Kropyvnytskyi (, ) is a city in central Ukraine, situated on the Inhul, Inhul River. It serves as the administrative center of Kirovohrad Oblast. Population: Over its history, Kropyvnytskyi has changed its name several times. The settlement was known as Yelysavethrad after Empress Elizabeth of Russia from 1752 to 1924, or simply Elysavet. In 1924, as part of the Soviet Union, it became known as Zinovievsk after the revolutionary Grigory Zinoviev, who was born there. Following the assassination of Sergei Kirov in 1934, the town was renamed Kirovo. Concurrently with the formation of Kirovohrad Oblast on 10 January 1939, and to distinguish it from Kirov Oblast in central Russia, Kirovo was renamed Kirovohrad. Urban-type Settlement
Urban-type settlement, abbreviated: ; , abbreviated: ; ; ; ; . is an official designation for lesser urbanized settlements, used in several Central and Eastern Europe, Central and Eastern European countries. The term was primarily used in the Soviet Union and later also for a short time in People's Republic of Bulgaria, socialist Bulgaria and Polish People's Republic, socialist Poland. Arbuzynka Settlement Hromada
Arbuzynka (until 1946 as Harbuzynka; , ) is a rural settlement in Pervomaisk Raion in the north of Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Arbuzynka settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: Arbuzynka is located on the banks of the Arbuzynka, a right tributary of the Mertvovid, in the drainage basin of the Southern Bug. History Arbuzynka was founded as Haidamatske by Zaporozhian Cossacks before 1775. In 1816, Arbuzynka (Harbuzynka) became a military settlement which belonged to Yelisavetgradsky Uyezd of Kherson Governorate. In Ukraine, a hromada () is the main type of municipality and the third level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, local self-government in Ukraine. The current hromadas were established by the Cabinet of ministers of Ukraine, Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. A municipality is designated ''urban hromada'' if its administration is located in a city; ''settlement hromada'' if it is located in a settlement (''selyshche''), and ''rural hromada'' if it is located in a village (Village#Ukraine, ''selo'') or a ''selyshche''. A city of regional significance () in Ukraine was a type of second-level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, administrative division or municipality, the other type being Raions of Ukraine, raions (districts). An okruha () is a historical administrative division of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic that existed between 1923 and 1930. The system was intended as a transitional system between the Russian Imperial division of governorates and the modern equivalent of oblasts.
