Peruvian Primera División 2008
The 2008 Torneo Descentralizado (known as the Copa Cable Mágico for sponsorship reasons) was the ninety-second season of Peruvian football. A total of 14 teams competed in the tournament, with Universidad San Martín defending their national title. The season began on February 17, 2008 and ended on December 14, 2008. Competition modus The season was divided into two tournaments; Torneo Apertura from February to July and the Torneo Clausura from July to December. Both tournaments had the fourteen teams play a round-robin home-and-away round for a total of 26 matches in each tournament. The winner of the Torneo Apertura qualified to the 2009 Copa Libertadores group stage and was eligible to play in the season final if they finished above 8th place in the Torneo Clausura. Total Clean
Total Chalaco was a professional Peruvian football club based in Callao. The club last played in the Peruvian Primera División in 2010. They placed last and were relegated and subsequently dissolved. The club was founded as Total Clean FBC, and played in Arequipa at the Estadio Mariano Melgar. As ''Total Clean'', they won the Copa Perú in 2006 and were promoted to the first division. They were relegated to the second division in 2007 but quickly ascended to the first division for 2009. The club was in a large amount of debt and sold 51% of the club to the vice-president of Atlético Chalaco. The club was renamed and relocated to Callao. Club Centro Deportivo Municipal, commonly known as Deportivo Municipal, is a Peruvian Association football, football club based in Lima, Peru. 2007 Copa Perú
The 2007 Copa Perú season (), the promotion tournament of Peruvian football. The tournament has 5 stages. The first four stages are played as mini-league round-robin tournaments, except for third stage in region IV, which is played as a knockout stage. The final stage features two knockout rounds and a final four-team group stage to determine the two promoted teams. The 2007 Peru Cup started with the District Stage () on February. 2007 Peruvian Segunda División
The 2007 Peruvian Segunda División season was the 62nd edition of the second tier of Federación Peruana de Futbol. There were 11 teams in play. Only 9 teams from the 2006 edition remained. Hijos de Acosvinchos, runner-up of the 2006 Copa Peru was promoted to the 2007 edition while Unión Huaral, which was relegated from the 2006 Peruvian first division, also participated in the tournament. The champion, Universidad César Vallejo, was promoted to the 2008 Torneo Descentralizado. The last place, Alfonso Ugarte of Puno, was relegated its respective regional league. The Peruvian Football Federation ( or ) is the body that governs Association football in Peru. It was founded on August 23, 1922, and affiliated with FIFA in 1924. Club Juan Aurich S. A., commonly known as Juan Aurich, is a Peru, Peruvian association football, football club based in Chiclayo. The original Juan Aurich club was founded in 1922, this incarnation however was founded in 2005. The club currently plays in the Peruvian Tercera División, the third tier of Peruvian football.
