Persipal Palu
Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Palu or abbreviated Persipal is an Indonesian football club based in Palu, Central Sulawesi. In the last season, they actually played in Liga 3 but failed to be promoted after finishing 3rd in the National round Group E. But in mid-2022, they bought Muba Babel United's slot and automatically promoted themselves to Liga 2. Persipal played at Gawalise Stadium in downtown Palu, Central Sulawesi. History Persipal had a heyday in the 1970s and was one of the favorite clubs in Indonesia during the Perserikatan era. Several Persipal legend players, including Jack Donald, Jaka Dewa, and Erwin Sumampow, managed to bring Persipal to the 1979 PSSI Liga Perserikatan Big 12 Final against Persipura Jayapura. The 2022–23 Liga 2 is the sixth season of the Liga 2 under its current name and the 13th season under its current league structure. The league is participated by 28 teams, an increase of four teams from the previous season's campaign. The tournament, along with Liga 3 was cancelled due to a combination of factors. 2022–23 Liga 3 is the seventh season of the Liga 3 under the current name and the eighth season under the current league structure, and the only amateur league football competition in Indonesia. The tournament is organized by Provincial Association of PSSI for the provincial round and PSSI central for the national round. Teams that qualify for the last 8 of Liga 3 are entitled to promotion to 2023–24 Liga 2. Karo United was the champion in the previous season. The Indonesian football league system is a series of league system for association football clubs in Indonesia. Since 1994, Liga Indonesia is the league competition featuring association football clubs, as a result of two existing top-flight football leagues merger: Perserikatan (amateur) and Galatama (semi professional).
