Persephone (wrestler)
Persephone (born August 3, 2001) is an American professional wrestler working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), portraying a '' ruda'' ("Bad girl") wrestling character. She previously performed as Perse and Black Widow. Previously, Persephone wrestled under a mask, which is common in lucha libre. In 2023, however, she voluntarily removed her mask, which is very unusual. Career Persephone was raised in El Paso, Texas, and has been wrestling since August 2016. She previously wrestled in the rival promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). In CMLL, Persephone notably has had a feud with Tessa Blanchard and generally portrays a rudo, an evil character, as opposed to the tecnicos who are the good guys. The ROH Women's World Television Championship is a women's professional wrestling Championship (professional wrestling)#Gimmick/style championships, world television championship in the United States, American professional wrestling promotion Ring of Honor (ROH).
