Perro Amor (Colombian TV Series)
''Perro amor'' is a Colombian telenovela produced by Cenpro Televisión for Canal Uno, and it started airing on Colombian broadcast channel Canal Uno in February 1998, and concluded in June 1999. It stars Danna García, and Julián Arango. After the success of the telenovela in its original broadcast, it was retransmitted on 19 October 2000 on Canal Uno, and since then it has not been retransmitted. In 2010 an adaptation with the same name was made for the United States, which premiered on Telemundo and starred Carlos Ponce. Plot The story revolves around Antonio Brando (Julián Arango) and Sofía Santana (Danna García), both strangers who know each other after Antonio decided to place a bet with his cousin. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and '' sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Ana María Orozco Aristizábal (born July 4, 1973) is a Colombian movie, theatre and television actress who is notable for her portrayal as Betty in the telenovela ''Yo soy Betty, la fea''. In 2001, Orozco won the award for International Female Personality of the Year (''Figura internacional femenina del año'') at the New York Latin ACE Awards and in 2002, won the award for Actress of the Year (''Actriz del año'') at the INTE Award for her performance in the telenovela ''Yo soy Betty, la fea'' (1999). Álvaro José Arroyo González (also known as Joe Arroyo or El Joe; 1 November 1955 – 26 July 2011) was a Colombian salsa and tropical music singer, composer and songwriter. He was considered one of the greatest performers of Caribbean music in his country and Latin America. Cheo Feliciano (3 July 1935 – 17 April 2014) was a Puerto Rican singer and composer of salsa and bolero music. Feliciano was the owner of a recording company called "Coche Records". Diego Ignacio Trujillo Dangond (born June 30, 1960) is a Colombian film and television actor. He is best known for playing Walter Blanco in the Colombian remake of ''Breaking Bad'' called ''Metástasis''.
