Perpetual Help College Of Manila
The University of Perpetual Help System is a network of two universities consisting of nine campuses in the Philippines. History Established in 1968 by Dr. Jose de Guzman Tamayo and his wife Dra. Josefina Laperal Tamayo as Perpetual Help Hospital and College of Nursing, this institution has been training nurses, doctors, maritime, accountants, hrm, allied health, lawyers, engineers, and many other professionals for service in the Philippines and abroad. Now known as UPHS Jonelta (Jose and Nena Laperal Tamayo), the University of Perpetual Help System Jonelta has campuses in Manila, Binan, GMA Cavite, Isabela province, Isabela, and Malasiqui, Pangasinan. Over the years, under the leadership of Dr./Br.Gen. Antonio L. Tamayo, this institution has developed into a university offering a wide variety of programs mentioned above, but its allied health programs including nursing is the university's core. Isabela, officially the Province of Isabela (; ; ), is the second largest province in the Philippines by land area located in the Cagayan Valley. Malasiqui, Pangasinan
Malasiqui, officially the Municipality of Malasiqui (; ; ), is a municipality in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 143,094 people. Etymology The word ''Malasiqui'' originates from the Pangasinense root word ''lasi'' meaning lightning. With prefix ''ma'' indicating high degree and suffix ''qui'' indicating place - Malasiqui means "place full of lightning". Another story about the town's etymology goes to talk about three Spanish priests who, while conducting ocular during those days, were so pissed off with the condition of the road which was muddy. The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) is a Catholic-oriented, Mixed-sex education, co-educational, non-sectarian, private university, with campuses at Las Piñas, Bacoor, Cavite and Calamba, Laguna in the Philippines. The university offers programs in Pre-school education, preschool, Primary education, primary, Secondary education, secondary, Tertiary education, tertiary levels, as well as short term vocational, technical, and special programs. History Dr./BGen Antonio "Alta" Laperal Tamayo, the founder of UPHSD, was inspired by his parents, Jose G.
