Pero Kovačević
Pero Kovačević (born 2 March 1957) is a Croatian lawyer and politician. Kovačević was the most active member of parliament during the 5th assembly of the '' Sabor'', the Croatian parliament. Kovačević is a member of the Association of Lawyers Vukovar 1991, an association dealing with crimes committed by forces of the Yugoslav People's Army and other Serb forces during the Croatian War of Independence. Early life Kovačević was born in Bosanska Dubica, present day Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated from Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb in 1980. Political career In 1999, Kovačević joined nationalist Croatian Party of Rights (HSP). He was member of the party's presidency. Ante Gotovina
Ante Gotovina (born 12 October 1955) is a Croatian retired lieutenant general and former French senior corporal who served in the Croatian War for Independence. He is noted for his primary role in the 1995 Operation Storm. In 2001, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) indicted him on war crimes and crimes against humanity charges in connection with that operation and its aftermath. After spending four years in hiding, he was captured in the Canary Islands in December 2005. On 15 April 2011, Gotovina was found guilty on 8 of the 9 counts of the indictment and sentenced to 24 years of imprisonment. Ivo Josipović
Ivo Josipović (; born 28 August 1957) is a Croatia, Croatian Academic staff, academic, jurist, composer, and politician who served as the president of Croatia from 2010 to 2015. Josipović entered politics as a member of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia (SKJ), and played a key role in the democratic transformation of the League of Communists of Croatia (SKH) into the Social Democratic Party of Croatia, Social Democratic Party (SDP) as the author of its first statute. International Criminal Tribunal For The Former Yugoslavia
The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) was a body of the United Nations that was established to prosecute the war crimes in the Yugoslav Wars, war crimes that had been committed during the Yugoslav Wars and to try their perpetrators. The tribunal was an ''ad hoc'' court located in The Hague, Netherlands. It was established by United Nations Security Council Resolution 827, Resolution 827 of the United Nations Security Council, which was passed on 25 May 1993. It had jurisdiction over four clusters of crimes committed on the territory of the former Yugoslavia since 1991: grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions, violations of the laws or customs of war, genocide, and crimes against humanity. Ivan Čermak
Ivan Čermak (born 19 December 1949) is a Croatian businessman, politician and former general. Biography Born in Zagreb, Čermak became a small businessman in the 1980s. In the 1990s, he entered the oil business. Between 1990 and 1991, Čermak held the position of Vice President of the Executive Board of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and also served as an advisor to the President of the Republic of Croatia, Franjo Tuđman. In 1991, he was appointed the Assistant Minister of Defence in the Croatian Government, a position he held until 1993. While in this position and thereafter, he held the rank of Colonel General. Ruža Tomašić (; born 10 May 1958) is a Croatian politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament from July 2013 to June 2021, having been elected to the position three times. Upon her withdrawal from the Parliament, she retired from politics altogether.
