Permod Kohli
Permod Kohli (born: 1 March 1951) is an Indian Judge and former Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court. Career Kohli was born at Rajouri in 1951. He graduated from Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College and passed Law from University of Jammu in 1972. He was appointed Additional Advocate General, later Advocate General of Jammu. On 7 January 2003 Kohli was appointed additional Judge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court. Thereafter he was transferred to the Jharkhand High Court in 2006. Sikkim High Court
The Sikkim High Court is the High Court of the Indian state of Sikkim. The history of the court can be traced back to 1955, when the High Court of Judicature (Jurisdiction and Powers) Proclamation, 1955 was issued to establish a High Court in Sikkim. Upon merger, Sikkim became the 22nd State of India. Under Clause ''(i) of Article 371F'', the High Court functioning immediately prior to the date of merger became the High Court for the State of Sikkim under the Constitution like any other High Court in the country. It was established in 1975. The seat of the court is at Gangtok, the administrative capital of the state. With a sanctioned court strength of 3 judges, the Sikkim High Court is the smallest High Court of India. Rajouri or Rajauri (; Pahari: 𑠤𑠬𑠑𑠶𑠤𑠮, راجوری; sa, राजपुर, ) is a city in Rajouri district in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. Punjab and Haryana High Court is the common High Court for the Indian states of Punjab and Haryana and the Union Territory of Chandigarh based in Chandigarh, India. The Jharkhand High Court is one of the newest high courts in India. It was established in 2000. The court has jurisdiction over Jharkhand state. The seat of the court is at Ranchi, the administrative capital of the state. The court has a sanctioned judge strength of 25. The new building of the Jharkhand High Court has been approved. A 165-acre land has been granted near the HEC Industrial Complex, which will be used for the development of the high court, a residential complex for judges and lawyers chambers. The estimated cost for the project is around Rs. 460 Crores. The complex will also have an auditorium with a 1000-seat capacity, four conference rooms, eight committee meeting halls, separate building for advocate general and government pleader.
