Perla Krauze
Perla Krauze Kleinbort (born 1953, Mexico City) is a Mexican sculptor, painter and visual artist. She has a Masters in Visual Art from Chelsea College of Art, in London. Her work is important public collections such as the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City, the Museo de Arte Contemporaneo/ Museum of Contemporary Art in Oaxaca City, Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil/ Carrillo Gil Art Museum, Museo de la Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art in Arizona. Work Krauze works in diversity of mediums and materials including painting, sculpture and installation art. Her recent body of work has been leaning towards installations of painted planes and metal frames as in her Exhibition Huellas y Trayectos/ Traces and Trajectories at the Museo de Arte Moderno, 2010. Oaxaca de Juárez (), also Oaxaca City or simply Oaxaca (Valley Zapotec: ''Ndua''), is the capital and largest city of the eponymous Mexican state Oaxaca. The Museo de la Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público is an art museum located in the historic center of Mexico City. It is housed in what was the Palacio del Arzobispado (Palace of the Archbishopric), built in 1530 under Friar Juan de Zumárraga on the base of the destroyed pyramid dedicated to the Aztec god Tezcatlipoca. It remained the archbishphoric until 1867 when the Finance Ministry Accountancy Department was established there. The modern museum houses an exhibit dedicated to this god as well as a large art collection. History The building was the colonial archbishop's palace and contains two stone-columned courtyards. Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) in the state of Arizona is a museum in the Old Town district of downtown Scottsdale, Arizona. The museum is dedicated to exhibiting modern works of art, design and architecture. The Museum has four galleries that house various exhibitions, curated from their growing permanent collection and rotating shows. Knight Rise skyspace, by Arizona artist James Turrell, is permanently on view. History SMoCA was conceived in 1988 and opened in February 1999. Museum Of The City Of Mexico
The Museum of Mexico City (Museo de la Ciudad de Mexico) is located at Pino Suarez 30, a few blocks south of the Zocalo, on what was the Iztapalapa Causeway, near where Hernán Cortés and Moctezuma II met for the first time. This building used to be the palace of the Counts of Santiago de Calimaya, who were the descendants of one of the conquistadors with Cortés. The house was extensively remodeled during the colony to much the appearance that it has today and remained in the family until 1960, when the Mexico City government acquired it from them in order to found the Museum that is found there today. The museum contains a number of elements of the old palace as well as 26 rooms dedicated to the history and development of Mexico City from Aztec times to the present.
