The Pericopina is a subtribe of tiger moths in the family Erebidae. The subtribe was described by Francis Walker in 1869. The genus and species were first described by Francis Walker in 1854. It is found from the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas in the United States to Venezuela. Adults are on wing nearly year round.
