Per Klingenberg Hestetun
Per Klingenberg Hestetun (11 August 1877 – 11 September 1928) was a Norwegian farmer and politician for the Liberal Party. He was born at Hestetun in Øvre Ã…rdal as a son of farmers Ola T. Hestetun (1843–1929) and Barbra P. Klingenberg (1841–1902). He attended primary school, and later Sogndal Folk High School in 1892–1893 and 1896–1897. From 1901 he took over the family farm. He served as mayor of Ã…rdal municipality from 1908 to 1920 and 1923 to 1926. He took the initiative to establishing the local savings bank Ã…rdal Sparebank in 1907. He was a board member here from 1912 to 1926. Liberal Party Of Norway
The Liberal Party ( no, Venstre, lit=Left, V; se, Gurutbellodat) is a centrist political party in Norway. It was founded in 1884 and it is the oldest political party in Norway. It is positioned in the centre on the political spectrum, and it is a liberal party which has over the time enacted reforms such as parliamentarism, freedom of religion, universal suffrage, and state schooling. For most of the late 19th and early 20th century, it was Norway's largest and dominant political party, but in the postwar era it lost most of its support and became a relatively small party. Jakob Mathias Antonson Lothe (14 November 1881 – 17 June 1975) was a Norwegian politician for the Liberal Party. He was born in Lote in Gloppen as a son of farmers Anton Jakobsen Lothe (1852–1932) and Anne Marie A. Røsæt (1853–1940). He was a member of Gloppen municipal council between 1919 and 1928, except for a short period between 1923 and 1925. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Sogn og Fjordane in 1925, and was re-elected on five occasions, with a spell as deputy representative during the term 1928–1930. Øvre Årdal is a village in Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is the larger of the two primary villages in Årdal. The village is situated at the northern end of the long lake Årdalsvatnet, with the village of Årdalstangen at the southern end. The village has a population (2019) of 3,117 and a population density of . Farnes Church is located in this village. The road ''Tindevegen'' goes from Øvre Årdal, through the Fardalen valley to the village of Turtagrø in Luster Municipality. It's one of the highest elevation roads in Norway.
