Per Daniel Holm
Per Daniel Holm (11 September 1835, Smedjebacken - 7 August 1903, Stockholm) was a Swedish landscape painter. Biography His father, Alexander Holm, was a pastor at . He attended the KTH Royal Institute of Technology until 1855, then became a mechanical draftsman for the , This was followed by a similar position at the zoological museum of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. From 1858 to 1863, he studied landscape painting at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, with Nils Andersson, and made numerous study trips to northern Sweden and Norway. In 1862. he was awarded a royal medal for landscapes of Lapland. He continued his studies in Düsseldorf, Munich, Karlsruhe and Paris. He was named a member of the Royal Academy in 1871, becoming a Vice-Professor of landscape painting in 1873, and a full Professor in 1881. Nationalmuseum
Nationalmuseum is the List of national galleries, national gallery of fine arts of Sweden, located on the peninsula Blasieholmen in central Stockholm. The museum's operations stretch far beyond the borders of Blasieholmen, including the National Portrait Gallery (Sweden), National Portrait Gallery collection at Gripsholm Castle, Gripshom, the Gustavsberg porcelain museum, several castle collections and the Swedish Institute in Paris (Institut Tessin). Stockholm City Museum
The Stockholm City Museum () is a museum documenting, preserving and exhibiting the history of Stockholm. The museum is housed in Södra Stadshuset at Slussen on Södermalm. History The building was completed in 1685. In the 1930s the museum moved in and opened to the public in 1942. The City Museum closed for renovations from 12 January 2015 to 27 April 2019. Governance and description The museum is governed by the Cultural Affairs and Sports Division of the City of Stockholm.
