Trearddur
Trearddur or Trearddur Bay ( cy, Bae Trearddur) is a village, seaside resort and community south of Holyhead on the west coast of Holy Island off the north-west coast of Anglesey in Wales. The community includes the small settlement of Penrhosfeilw and the Refail Farm estate. Name Historically the bay on which the village sits was known as Porth y Capel (Welsh: ''bay of the chapel'') and the nearby dunes as Towyn y Capel (''dune of the chapel''). The village name is recorded variously as Treffyarddr, Tre Iarthur and Trefarthur with Trearddur first recorded in 1749. All versions signify the ''settlement of Iarddur'', a key figure in the Middle Ages. History At the centre of the beach lies an ancient burial ground known by the old names and which was excavated in 2003. At the 2001 census, the community had a population of 1,858, reducing to 1,686 at the 2011 census. Ynys Môn (Senedd Constituency)
Ynys Môn is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. Also, however, it is one of nine constituencies in the North Wales electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to nine constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole. It was represented from 1999 by Ieuan Wyn Jones, the former leader of Plaid Cymru. Jones resigned from the Assembly on 20 June 2013, triggering a by-election, which was held on 1 August 2013. Plaid Cymru's candidate Rhun ap Iorwerth comfortably held the seat for the party with a majority of over 9000 votes. Ynys Môn (; officially called Anglesey until 1983) is a constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. The Ynys Môn Senedd constituency was created with the same boundaries in 1999 (as an Assembly constituency). Ynys Môn is represented by Virginia Crosbie of the Conservative Party. Crosbie is the first Conservative to win the constituency since the 1983 general election. A community ( cy, cymuned) is a division of land in Wales that forms the lowest tier of local government in Wales. Welsh communities are analogous to civil parishes in England.
