Pennsylvania Rebellion
The Pennsylvania Rebellion were a National Pro Fastpitch softball team based in Washington, Pennsylvania. They were added as an expansion team for the 2014 season, receiving the roster and draft position of the recently defunct NY/NJ Comets. They folded after the 2016 season. Franchise history 2014 The Rebellion joined NPF for the 2014 season, and received both the NY/NJ Comets' roster and draft position. This resulted in Pennsylvania having the overall first pick in the 2014 NPF draft, which they used for Arizona State's pitcher Dallas Escobedo, who pitched for the Rebellion's first ever win. Overall, the Rebellion struggled through the season, batting a league-worst .199. Manager Rick Bertagnolli resigned following a 2–10 start, citing 'personal reasons.' 2015 NPF Season
The 2015 National Pro Fastpitch season was the 12th season of professional softball under the name National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) for the only professional women's softball league in the United States. From 1997 to 2002, NPF operated under the names Women's Pro Fastpitch (WPF) and Women's Pro Softball League (WPSL). Each year, the playoff teams battle for the Cowles Cup. Milestones and events In January 2015, the NPF announced that the Dallas Charge would join the league as an expansion team. The NPF and CBS Sports Network signed a 2015 agreement for the network to broadcast the NPF Draft, selected regular season games, and all of the NPF Championship Series. The Pride's homestand against the Bandits, Rebellion, and Racers from July 15 to July 25 was broadcast on the Longhorn Network and was subsequently available for streaming on ESPN3. Chelsea Forkin (born 14 July 1989) is a softball and baseball player. As a softball player, Chelsea has won 3 Australian National Championship titles with the Western Australian Flames and 1 title with the Queensland Heat. Career During her baseball career, she competed at the 2003 Under 14 Australian National Baseball Championships, one of only two girls competing. As a 15 year old, she represented Australia at the 2004 Women's Baseball World Series in Uozu, Japan and the Inaugural Women's World Cup of Baseball in Edmonton, Canada. Alexandrea "Lexie" Kenedie Elkins (born August 6, 1995) is an American softball coach, she served as the assistant coach at Houston. She is also a former collegiate All-American, retired softball catcher. She began her college softball career at Texas Tech in 2013 before transferring to the Louisiana for the 2014–16 seasons, where she set numerous school records. She is the Sun Belt Conference career leader in batting average and slugging percentage in only three seasons. She is also one of nine NCAA Division I players to hit a career .400 with 200 RBIs, 50 home runs and an .800% slugging percentage for a career. Haylie Marie Wagner (born April 7, 1993) is an American softball pitcher for the Chicago Bandits of National Pro Fastpitch. From 2012 to 2015, she was a left-handed pitcher for the Michigan Wolverines softball team. She was unanimously selected the 2012 Big Ten Conference Softball Pitcher of the Year after compiling a 32–7 record and a 1.53 earned run average (ERA) in her freshman year. She finished her college career with a 100–18 win record and a 1.82 ERA. Since 2015, Wagner has pitched for the Pennsylvania Rebellion, but the club was dissolved in 2017.
