Penne Dennison
Penne Dennison (born 3 September 1969) is an Australian music and television entertainment presenter. Career Dennison's first role as a television presenter was on WIN Television Wollongong. Penne has previously appeared on a national radio program hosted by Barry Bissell, ''Barry Bissell’s Weekly Countdown'' as an entertainment news and reporter for the show. In 1998-1999 she was the original co-host with Jade Gatt on the late night Live Music and News Program ''Ground Zero'', later Joined by Ugly Phil O’Neil and Jackie O, televised live on the Ten Network between 1998 and 1999. She has also worked on ''Hey Hey It’s Saturday'', hosted by Daryl Somers in the late 1990s. More recently, she has worked on Take 40 Australia, and as a presenter on ''Mornings with Kerri-Anne''. ''Hey Hey It's Saturday'' is a long-running variety television program on Australian television. It initially ran for 28 years on the Nine Network from 9 October 1971 to 20 November 1999, with a recess in 1978. Its host throughout its entire run was Daryl Somers, who later also became executive producer of the program. The original producer, Gavan Disney, left the program in December 1990 and Somers then formed a production company, Somers Carroll Productions, with comedy writer and on-screen partner Ernie Carroll, the performer of Somers' pink ostrich puppet sidekick Ossie Ostrich. Carroll retired in 1994, and Ossie was no longer featured in the show. On 25 July 2009, the Nine Network announced the show would return for two reunion specials in late 2009 and hinted if they rated strongly, the show could return full-time. ''Kerri-Anne'' was an Australian morning television program shown on the Nine Network, hosted by Kerri-Anne Kennerley. It was broadcast on weekdays at 9am for two hours. The final episode of the series was on 25 November 2011. It was replaced by '' Today Extra'', hosted by Sonia Kruger and David Campbell. Daryl Paul Somers (né Schulz; 6 August 1951) is an Australian television personality and musician, and a triple Gold Logie award-winner. He rose to national fame as the host and executive producer of the long-running comedy-variety program '' Hey Hey It's Saturday'' and continued his television celebrity and status as host of the live-performance program '' Dancing with the Stars''.
