Penetang-Midland Coach Lines
Penetang Midland Coach Lines Ltd. (PMCL) was a regional and charter bus operator in Ontario which was acquired by Greyhound Canada. PMCL once operated inter-terminal bus service at Toronto Pearson International Airport and was a school bus operator in the Greater Toronto Area. PMCL held intercity bus licensing to service the Penetanguishene, Midland and Barrie area to Toronto. It still maintains service at Yorkdale Bus Terminal operated by Greyhound Canada Transportation Corporation. Laidlaw purchased PMCL from the Dubeau family in 1997, operating the school bus routes directly while moving intercity line-runs, inter-terminal and contract shuttles, Barrie and Orillia transit and tour operations under the control of Greyhound Travel Services. Penetanguishene
Penetanguishene , sometimes shortened to Penetang, is a town in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the southeasterly tip of Georgian Bay. Incorporated on February 22, 1882, this bilingual (French and English) community has a population of 8,962 in the Canada 2016 Census. The name ''Penetanguishene'' is believed to come from either the Wyandot or Abenaki via Ojibwe, meaning "land of the white rolling sands". History As early as AD 800, the Wyandot people settled in semi-permanent villages in the area. The young French translator, Étienne Brûlé, was the first European to set foot in the Penetanguishene area, some time between 1610 and 1614. Yorkdale Bus Terminal is located at 1 Yorkdale Road, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It occupies the lowest level of an office building adjacent to Yorkdale Shopping Centre and is connected directly to Yorkdale subway station by a pedestrian bridge. Gray Coach was a Canadian inter-city bus line based in Toronto, Ontario, from 1927 to 1992.
