Pelle Edberg
Per Oscar "Pelle" Edberg (born 13 April 1979) is a Swedish professional golfer and former European Tour player. He was runner-up at the 2008 SAS Masters, the 2010 Saint-Omer Open, and the 2015 D+D Real Czech Masters. Early life Edberg was born and grew up in Jönköping, Sweden, as the youngest of four sons to Stefan Edberg, the owner of Hook Golf Club, situated 30 kilometers south of the city of Jönköping. Edberg and his brothers Hans, Jonas and Calle all spend a lot of their childhoods at the golf course. His brother Hans, who also became a golf professional and twice a winner on the Swedish Golf Tour, has always trained and supported him. Without the possibility to go to college in America or combine golf training with studies at upper secondary sports school in Sweden, Edberg turned professional at 17 years of age. Leif Westerberg
Leif Westerberg (born 28 August 1974) is a retired Swedish professional golfer. He played on the European Tour and Challenge Tour between 1997 and 2011, recording two victories. As an amateur, he won the 1992 R&A Boys Amateur Championship and the 1995 NCAA Championship. Early life Westerberg was born in Stockholm and won the 1992 Boys Amateur Championship at Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club, after beating Fredrik Jacobson 3 & 2 in the final. Amateur career Westerberg was on the national team and represented Europe at the Jacques Léglise Trophy and St Andrews Trophy. Per Henrik Pontus Leijon (born 27 October 1978) is a Swedish professional golfer and former Challenge Tour player. Career Leijon was a promising junior golfer and represented Örkelljunga Golf Club. He won the 1998 Swedish Junior Matchplay Championship at Lyckorna Golf Club and joined the Swedish Golf Tour in 1999. He turned professional in 2001, and attended European Tour Qualifying School from 2002. His breakthrough came in 2006, when he was runner-up at the Winter Series #3 in Portugal and Hansabanka Baltic Open in Latvia, before winning the Aller Masters in Denmark and the Telia Tour Final at Rya Golf Club. He topped the Nordic Golf League Order of Merit to graduate to the Challenge Tour. His best finish as a rookie on the Challenge Tour was a tie for 8th at the NÖ Open in Austria. Steven Svejstrup Jeppesen (born 22 April 1984) is a Swedish professional golfer. Career Jeppesen played for the Swedish National team as an amateur and won on his first outing for the team, the Junior Open Championship at Crail, Scotland, in 2000. He also won the 2001 European Boys' Team Championship, with a team that included Gustav Adell, Robert Svensson, Johannes Andersson, Jonas Blixt and Niklas Lemke. Christian Lars Nilsson (born 25 May 1979) is a Swedish former professional golfer. Professional career Nilsson was born in Karlstad, Sweden. He turned professional in 1999 with a plus 3 handicap. Nilsson played on the Challenge Tour full-time since 2004, playing few events before then. His first event on the European Tour was the 2005 Open Championship where he missed the cut. His first full season on the European Tour was 2006, and his second in 2007. The 2020 Swedish Golf Tour, titled as the 2020 MoreGolf Mastercard Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the 37th season of the Swedish Golf Tour, the main professional golf tour in Sweden since it was formed in 1984, with most tournaments being incorporated into the Nordic Golf League since 1999. The 2020 Nordic Golf League is the 22nd season of the Nordic Golf League, a third-tier tour recognised by the European Tour. In-season changes The season started with four events in Spain, and was later suspended in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After the hiatus, the schedule was subject to change and several tournaments were postponed, cancelled or due to travel restrictions, became unofficial events for Order of Merit ranking purposed.
