Dave Pegg
Dave Pegg (born 2 November 1947) is an English multi-instrumentalist and record producer, primarily a bass guitarist. He is the longest-serving member of the British folk rock band Fairport Convention and has been bassist with a number of folk and rock groups including the Ian Campbell Folk Group and Jethro Tull. History Early career David Pegg was born on 2 November 1947, at Acocks Green, Birmingham, England. He began to learn guitar when 14 or 15, inspired by The Shadows, and played in a school band at Yardley Grammar School. David Pegg
David Pegg (20 September 1935 – 6 February 1958) was an English footballer who played as an outside-left and one of the eight Manchester United players who died in the Munich air disaster on 6 February 1958. Career He signed for United on leaving school in 1950 and made his first team debut in the Football League First Division against Middlesbrough on 6 December 1952, at the age of 17, and by the age of 20 he was a regular member of the first team. In 1956, at the age of 21, he collected a First Division title medal. The following season, he picked up another league title medal and also helped United reach the semi-finals of the European Cup, also collecting a runners-up medal in the FA Cup. Professor David Pegg (born 1941) is an emeritus professor in theoretical physics at Griffith University, Australia. In his career, he has made numerous contributions to NMR, quantum optics and conceptual physics including the nature of time. He has published approximately 200 papers and has at least 12300 citations. He is a fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and a Corresponding Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. He is a recipient of the Harrie Massey Medal for Australian physics and of the Centenary Medal for his contribution to quantum theory. Len Pegg
Leonard Richard Pegg (4 June 1922 – 27 September 1999) was an Australian international rugby league player. Pegg was born in Sydney and served with the Royal Australian Air Force in World War II. A centre, Pegg made his representative debut for Queensland in 1945 and was playing for Brisbane club Souths when he earned his international call up. He appeared in both Test matches for the Kangaroos against the touring 1948 New Zealand team, making his debut at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia lost that match, before winning the second fixture in Brisbane, with Pegg contributing a try. He also toured Great Britain and France with the 1948–49 Kangaroos, but didn't feature in any of the international matches.
