Pegboard Nerds is a Scandinavian electronic music group, consisting of Norwegian DJ Alexander Odden and Danish DJ Michael Parsberg. The name Pegboard Nerds is an anagram of the duo's surnames, Odden and Parsberg. The duo first met in 2005 and formed the group in 2011. Previously, their records were released under separate projects and both have been producing since the 1990s. On 21 October 2015, the duo released '' Pink Cloud'' to fund breast cancer research which went to number 2 on iTunes Dance Albums, and into the Top 10 on ''Billboard'' Dance albums. In 2015, their collaboration with Jauz, a single titled "Get on Up", was one of the top bass house songs of the year. Sam Vogel, also known by his stage name Jauz ( ), is an American DJ and electronic dance music producer based in San Francisco, United States. He founded his own record label, Bite This, in 2017. Early life Vogel grew up in Northern California. He began playing guitar and producing electronic music on his computer at the age of 15. He went to Icon Collective music production school. He previously went to a film school in Loyola Marymount University where he joined Kappa Sigma before deciding to pursue a musical career, prompting him to enroll in Icon Collective. Jeff Abel (born 29 April 1986), better known by his stage name Excision, is a Canadian producer and disc jockey. He is the founder of Rottun Recordings and Subsidia Records. Active since 2006, his first release, "Warning", was in 2007. He released an annual " Shambhala" mix album in the third quarter of each year until 2016. He started his own music festival (Lost Lands) the following year and releases annual mixes. He is known for his tours with immense sound systems and huge visual productions. Monstercat (formerly known as Monstercat Media) is a Canadian independent electronic music record label based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Founded in 2011 by Mike Darlington and Ari Paunonen, the label released music on a tri-weekly basis until 2018, when this was changed to four releases a week. This would later be changed to six releases a week in 2021.
