Hereford Pegasus Football Club is a football club based in Hereford, England. The club is affiliated to the Herefordshire County FA. Pegasus Juniors Football Club run a total of 23 teams and provide football for all ages, starting from the age of five. The club's first team plays in the , and junior teams play in the Herefordshire Junior Football League, Herefordshire Girls Football League or the Midland Junior Premier League. History The club was formed as Pegasus Juniors in 1955 by a group of players from the Herefordshire County Boys team who wished to continue playing together. Their name was inspired by the great amateur team Pegasus. Originally the club played in the local Herefordshire League, where they accumulated a large number of league titles and cups, until in 1982 they stepped up to the Hellenic League. Hereford
Hereford ( ) is a cathedral city and the county town of the ceremonial county of Herefordshire, England. It is on the banks of the River Wye and lies east of the border with Wales, north-west of Gloucester and south-west of Worcester. The English football league system, also known as the football pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for men's association football clubs in England, with five teams from Wales, one from Guernsey, one from Jersey and one from the Isle of Man also competing.
