Peeping Tom (Peeping Tom Album)
''Peeping Tom'' is the only studio album by American band Peeping Tom. It was released by Ipecac Recordings on May 30, 2006. It peaked at number 103 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. Production In 2000, Mike Patton conceived Peeping Tom. It is a tribute to Michael Powell's 1960 film ''Peeping Tom''. The album was created by swapping song files through the mail with collaborators such as Norah Jones, Kool Keith, and Massive Attack, among others. It took almost six years to complete the album. Musical style and influences The musical style of ''Peeping Tom'' encompasses rock, heavy metal, experimental pop, pop, trip hop, alternative hip hop, underground hip hop and hip hop. Peeping Tom (band)
Peeping Tom were an American rock project led by Mike Patton, active between 2000 and 2007. They released one eponymous album and three singles on Ipecac Recordings. Anticon (often styled as anticon.) was an independent record label based in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1998 by seven musicians and manager Baillie Parker. It was collectively owned among six musicians, co-founder Parker, and manager Shaun Koplow. The original musicians signed to Anticon were once referred to as the Anticon collective. Following the death of one of its founding members in 2018, the label dissolved. ''Chart Attack'' (stylized as ''CHARTattack'') was a Canadian online music publication. Formerly a monthly print magazine, it was called ''Chart'' and published from 1991 to 2009. Mark Allan Hoppus (born March 15, 1972) is an American musician and record producer. He is the co-lead vocalist, co-founder, and bassist for the rock band Blink-182 and the only member to appear on every album. Hoppus became interested in skateboarding and punk rock in junior high, and received a bass guitar from his father at the age of 15. After he moved to San Diego in 1992 to attend California State University San Marcos, his sister introduced him to Tom DeLonge, and they formed the band Blink-182 with drummer Scott Raynor. Underground Hip Hop
Underground hip hop (also known as underground rap or simply underground) traditionally refers to hip hop music that is outside the general mainstream canon or counter-cultural in nature, usually with a heavy emphasis on emotion, lyricism, and/or social consciousness.
