Cory Pecker
Cory Pecker (born March 20, 1981) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger. He was drafted in the sixth round, 166th overall, by the Calgary Flames in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Pecker was born in Montreal, Quebec, and is Jewish. At 15 years of age, playing for Team Canada, Pecker was the youngest player to play in the 1997 Maccabiah Games ice hockey tournament in Israel. The team won the gold medal. He played five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and Erie Otters. In 2002, Pecker was the Player of the Year in the OHL, despite missing six weeks with a broken arm. Pecker made his professional debut with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks of the American Hockey League (AHL) in the 2002–03 season. David Jay Pecker (born September 24, 1951) is an American publishing executive and businessman, who was the CEO of American Media until August 2020. He was the publisher of '' Men's Fitness'', '' Muscle and Fitness'', ''Flex'', ''Fit Pregnancy'', ''Shape'' and ''Star''. He was also the publisher of ''National Enquirer'', '' Sun'', '' Weekly World News'', and '' Globe''. In 2018, Pecker became embroiled in controversy regarding his involvement in a catch and kill operation to buy exclusive rights to stories that might embarrass his friend Donald Trump, to prevent the stories from becoming public during the latter's 2016 presidential campaign. Jean-Claude Pecker
Jean-Claude Pecker (10 May 1923 – 20 February 2020) was a French astronomer, astrophysicist and author, member of the French Academy of Sciences and director of the Nice Observatory. He served as the secretary-general of the International Astronomical Union from 1964 to 1967. Pecker was the President of the Société astronomique de France (SAF), the French amateur astronomical society, from 1973–1976. He was awarded the Prix Jules Janssen by the French Astronomical Society in 1967. A minor planet ( 1629 Pecker) is named after him. Woodpecker
