Paxson Vickers (died October 22, 1865) was an American politician and pottery manufacturer from Pennsylvania. He served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing Chester County in 1857. Early life Paxson Vickers was born to Abigail (née Paxson) and John Vickers. His father manufactured pottery and was a member of the Underground Railroad in Caln Township, Pennsylvania. Career Vickers followed his father as a pottery manufacturer in Lionville. Vickers was a Republican. Paxson is a census-designated place (CDP) in Copper River Census Area, Alaska, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 26, down from 40 in 2010. It is located on the Richardson Highway at the junction with the Denali Highway. Currently, there are five accommodations in Paxson, as well as several gift shops, a post office, a gas station and food shops. The activity of the locality is turned to tourism in summer, and by hunting and livelihood activities for permanent residents. Geography Paxson is located at (63.045307, −145.614117). The two highways which converge there come through two nearby mountain passes, Isabel Pass and Mentasta Pass. Camp Paxson Boy Scout Camp
Camp Paxson Boy Scout Camp, located on the western shore of Seeley Lake, Lolo National Forest, Montana, is on the National Register of Historic Places. It started out as a summer camp for the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), and is named in honor of Montana western painter Edgar Samuel Paxson. The United States Forest Service granted the Western Montana Council of the BSA permission to build a summer camp, originally with six small 12x24' clapboard structures and tents on just , in 1924. The camp was expanded beginning in October 1939, with more facilities constructed by the Works Progress Administration and Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The camp was completed in 1940 on under the supervision of Forest Service engineer Clyde Fickes. Isaiah Paxson Farm, also known as Burgess Lea, is a historic farm complex located in Solebury Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Solebury Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The complex consists of a house, double barn, carriage house, springhouse, shed, smoke house, and small barnyard building. All of the buildings are constructed of stone. The house was built in 1785, and has a -story, three-bay, gable-roofed main section with a -story kitchen section and one-story shed addition. It is in the Georgian architecture, Georgian style.
