The Pavel Roman Memorial () is an international ice dance competition held in Olomouc, Czech Republic and organized by the Czech Skating Association. Ice Dance
Ice dance (sometimes referred to as ice dancing) is a discipline of figure skating that historically draws from ballroom dancing. It joined the World Figure Skating Championships in 1952, and became a Winter Olympic Games medal sport in 1976. According to the International Skating Union (ISU), the governing body of figure skating, an ice dance team consists of one woman and one man. Ice dance, like pairs skating, pair skating, has its roots in the "combined skating" developed in the 19th century by skating clubs and organizations and in recreational social skating. Couples and friends would skate waltzes, marches, and other social dances. The first steps in ice dance were similar to those used in ballroom dancing. David Vincour
David Vincour (born 14 March 1984, in Brno) is a Czech former competitive ice dancer. Skating with Kamila Hájková, he became a five-time Czech national champion and competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Career Vincour began skating at age five, stopped until he was 12, then took up ice dancing and competed for Austria with Sabine Pichler and Barbara Herzog. He then competed with Kamila Hájková for the Czech Republic. The two are the 2006-2010 Czech national champions and the 2005 Ondrej Nepela Memorial bronze medalists. During the 2006–07 season, Vincour was hospitalized for an extended period due to intestinal problems and underwent surgery and, as a result, they missed the World Championships. Nóra Hoffmann
Nóra Hoffmann (born 8 April 1985 in Budapest) is a Hungarian ice dancer. With Maxim Zavozin, she is the 2010 Cup of Russia silver medalist and a two-time (2009, 2010) Hungarian national champion. With Attila Elek, she is a two-time (2003–2004) World Junior silver medalist, the 2003 JGP Final champion, and a five-time (2003–2007) Hungarian national champion. Career With Elek Hoffmann trained in both ice dancing and single skating until age 11 when she broke her leg on a jump. She was paired with Attila Elek by coaches in the early 1990s. Mark Hanretty
Mark Hanretty (born 21 March 1985) is a Scottish former competitive ice dancer who represented the United Kingdom with Christina Chitwood. They are two-time (2008, 2010) British medalists and competed at the 2009 European Championships, placing 18th and at the 2010 World Figure Skating Championships in Turin, Italy. Hanretty served as a professional skater on the ITV competition series ''Dancing on Ice'' from 2011 until his departure in 2025. Competitive career Hanretty began figure skating in 1995. Christina Chitwood (born 21 March 1990) is an American former competitive ice dancer who represented Great Britain with Mark Hanretty. They are two-time (2008, 2010) British bronze medalists and competed at the 2009 European Championships, placing 18th. Competitive career Early in her career, Chitwood competed in pair skating with her brother, Will Chitwood. She later switched to ice dancing and competed with Stephen Chasman. Nelli Nailevna Zhiganshina (; born 31 March 1987) is a Russian-born German ice dancer. With Alexander Gazsi, she is a six-time German national champion (2007, 2011–2015) and has won twelve international medals. Matěj Novák
Matěj Novák (born 6 November 1989) is a Czech former competitive ice dancer. With former partner Lucie Myslivečková, he is the 2010 Golden Spin of Zagreb champion and the 2011 Czech national champion. He currently competes with Gabriela Kubová. Career Myslivečkova and Novák won a silver and bronze on the Junior Grand Prix circuit. They finished as high as 8th at Junior Worlds in 2009 and debuted at senior Worlds in the same season. Lucie Myslivečková (born 8 December 1989) is a Czech and Slovak former competitive ice dancer. Representing Slovakia with Lukáš Csölley, she competed at the Figure skating at the 2018 Winter Olympics – Ice dancing, 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
