Paulo Roberto Rink
Paulo Roberto Rink (born 21 February 1973) is a former footballer who played as a forward. Most commonly known for his time at Bayer Leverkusen, the Brazilian-born player earned 13 caps representing Germany. He retired in 2007. Club career Born in Curitiba, Rink began his career playing for Athlético Paranaense. After a solid career with the club, he negotiated with Bayer Leverkusen, and was transferred for US$6 million, the highest transfer fee paid for an Atlético Paranaense player at that time. Rink remained there for four years, barring a six-month break, when he was loaned out to Santos FC. He played for several other clubs, 1. FC Nürnberg, FC Energie Cottbus, Vitesse Arnhem, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Olympiakos Nicosia and Omonia Nicosia. Rink ended his career in Athlético Paranaense, where his career started. The 2000 UEFA European Football Championship, also known as Euro 2000, was the 11th UEFA European Championship, a football tournament held every four years and organised by UEFA, the sport's governing body in Europe. The finals tournament was played between 10 June and 2 July 2000, and co-hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands, the first time the tournament had been held in more than one nation. 1999 FIFA Confederations Cup
The 1999 FIFA Confederations Cup was the fourth FIFA Confederations Cup, and the second organised by FIFA. The tournament was hosted by Mexico between 24 July and 4 August 1999. It was won by Mexico, who beat Brazil 4–3 in the final. Mexico became the first host nation to win the FIFA Confederations Cup. The competition was to originally be held in three stadiums, in three cities in the country. However, since the stadiums in Monterrey were sponsored by a competing beer company other than the official advertiser, the city was left out of the tournament altogether.
