Paulo Macedo (basketball)
Paulo Jorge Morais Rebelo de Macedo (born May 28, 1968), is an Angolan former professional basketball player and a current coach. Macedo, who is 190 cm (6'2") in height, has been a prominent point guard both at the service of the Angola national basketball team and with C.D. Primeiro de Agosto (basketball), Primeiro de Agosto. Supertaça De Angola (basketball)
The Supertaça de Angola (in English: Angolan Basketball Super Cup), better known as the Supertaça Vladimiro Romeiro, is a single-match competition in Angolan basketball, played between the Angolan league champion and the Angola Cup winner of the previous season. In case the same team happens to win both the league and the cup, the match will be played between the league winner and the cup runner-up. The Super Cup match marks the beginning of the basketball season, followed by the league and the cup. 2012–13 BAI Basket
The 2012–13 season (35th edition) of BAI Basket kicked off on November 16, 2012, with 10 teams playing the regular season in a double round robin system. The 5 best teams qualified for group A and the last five, group B in an intermediate stage, in which each group will play in a double round robin, at the end of which the best four teams of group A are playing the final four for the title in a round robin system at four rounds. The relegated team from group A in the intermediate stage joined the best three teams of group B from the intermediate stage to play for the 5th-8th place classification whereas the last two teams will play for the last two. The Angolan Men's Basketball League, (in Portuguese: Campeonato Nacional de Basquetebol em Séniores Masculinos) is the top tier men’s basketball league in Angola. The league was formerly known as BAI Basket, BIC Basket and Unitel Basket, named after its major sponsors, formerly Banco Africano de Investimentos, Banco de Investimento e Crédito and Unitel, the competition is organized by the Angolan Basketball Federation. AfroBasket 2013 was the 27th FIBA Africa Championship, played under the rules of FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, and the FIBA Africa thereof. Basketball at the 1992 Summer Olympics was the thirteenth appearance of the sport of basketball as an official Olympic medal event. It included the sport of basketball's men's and women's competitions of the 1992 Summer Olympics. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football.
