Brian Gibson (22 September 1944 – 4 January 2004) was an English film and television director. Early life and education Gibson was born 22 September 1944 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. His mother, Victoria, was a shop assistant and his father was a carpenter. He had a sister, June. Gibson attended Southend High School for Boys. William Owen Gregory (born 17 September 1959) is an English musician and record producer. He is best known as the lead keyboardist, producer, and composer of the electronic music duo Goldfrapp. Early life Gregory was born in Bristol, the son of an actress and an opera chorus-line singer. I got into music kind of by default as it was the only thing I was good at – I was the weird one at school who practiced the piano during lunch break. In my teens I met other musicians and was so relieved to find some like-minds that I think I never wanted to leave the 'weird' muso club – perhaps it’s the same for many musicians. Martyn Barker Born 14 September 1959 in Ellesmere Port Merseyside. Is an English drummer, percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, best known as the drummer for Shriekback. He has also been a member of King Swamp. Ivo Michael Beale Neame (born 13 March 1981) is a British jazz pianist and composer. In addition to leading his own bands he is a member of several European jazz groups including Phronesis, the Marius Neset Quintet, and the Kairos 4Tet. He is a Professor of Jazz Piano at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Biography Neame, a grandson of composer Shena Fraser, was born in Kent into the Shepherd Neame brewing family. Sophie Alloway
Lydian Collective is a British jazz fusion band based in London. It started performing in 2013 and consists of Aaron ('Laszlo') Wheeler (keyboards), Todd Baker (guitar), Ida Hollis (bass), and Sophie Alloway (drums). Wheeler and Baker are the band composers. The name of the band is derived from the Lydian mode, a favourite scale of Wheeler. Baker and Wheeler knew each other since the age of 16; they both grew up in Worcestershire. Hollis and Alloway are from London. Kit Downes is a British BBC Jazz Award winning, Mercury Music Award nominated, solo recording artist for ECM Records. He has toured the world playing piano, church organ and harmonium with his own bands ('ENEMY', 'Troyka', 'Elt' and 'Vyamanikal') as well as artists such as Squarepusher, Thomas Strønen and Django Bates.
