Paul Tuddenham
Paul Tuddenham (born 14 September 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL). Family Tuddenham's father Des was a Collingwood captain and is the ruck-rover in their Team of the Century. VFL/AFL career An Xavier College recruit, Tuddenham first broke into the Collingwood seniors late in the 1987 season and played nine games in 1988, including a qualifying final. In 1989 he made 10 appearances, but his season ended in round 14 when he tore a hamstring against Footscray. The following year Tuddenham played 10 games in the home and away season, but missed the finals series, which concluded with Collingwood ending their premiership drought. Early in the season he had kicked four goals in successive weeks, against Sydney and Footscray. The Victorian Football League (VFL) is an Australian rules football league in Australia serving as one of the second-tier regional semi-professional competitions which sit underneath the fully professional Australian Football League (AFL). Victorian Amateur Football Association
The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is the largest senior community Australian rules football competition in Victoria. It consists of seven senior men's and women's divisions ranging from Premier to Division 4. In addition there are U19's sections and five Thirds sections, primarily made up of either clubs only able to field one team, or clubs from higher sections that can field a third team after their seniors and reserves. The league operates a double promotion and relegation system between sections with various rules dictating which section clubs can play in. The Old Xaverians Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in Kew, an inner suburb of Melbourne. The club was established in 1923 by alumni of Jesuit school Xavier College in Kew. The club is one of the most successful in the Victorian Amateur Football Association, having won 14 VAFA Premier Section flags, with its first in 1981. It won an unprecedented six premierships in six years between 1995-2000. The OXFC currently fields nine teams in the VAFA competition (seven men's, two women's).
