Paul Robert Schneider (August 29, 1897 – July 18, 1939) was a German pastor of the Evangelical Church of the old-Prussian Union who was the first Protestant minister to be martyred by the Nazis. He was murdered with a strophanthin injection at the concentration camp of Buchenwald. Early life Schneider was born in Pferdsfeld near Bad Sobernheim, Germany in 1897, to Gustav-Adolf Schneider and Elisabeth Schnorr. Schneider studied theology at the universities of Giessen, Marburg and Tübingen. He was ordained in Hochelheim near Wetzlar in 1925. Nazi opposition On the occasion of the funeral of a Hitler youth boy a Nazi official said in his speech that the deceased would now be member of the heavenly storm of Horst Wessel. Pastor Schneider responded that he would not know if a heavenly storm of Horst Wessel existed but the Lord would bless the boy and take him into his realm. Paul Schneider (August 4, 1923 – October 13, 2008) was an American screenwriter who worked in television and film between the 1950s and the 1980s. Star Trek Schneider is probably best remembered for two episodes of the original ''Star Trek'' series: "Balance of Terror" and "The Squire of Gothos". The first of these introduced the Romulans – which became one of the main alien races in the ''Star Trek'' universe. The second episode introduces a " Q"-like lifeform which terrorizes the crew. Paul Schneider (born June 24, 1976) is a retired American soccer player who played professionally in the USL A-League. Schneider began his college career at Long Island University before transferring to George Mason University in 1996. That summer, he also played for the Long Island Rough Riders U-23 team. Schneider played for ASV Durlach during the 1998–1999 season. He then returned to the United States, briefly played for New York Hota of the Cosmopolitan Soccer League before signing with the Minnesota Thunder of the USISL A-League. Paul Maximilian Heinrich Schneider von Esleben (née Schneider, 28 August 1915 – 19 May 2005), known as Paul Schneider-Esleben, was a German architect who worked in the modernist movement, mostly on airports, throughout the 1960s. Early life Paul Schneider was born in 1915 in Düsseldorf to Maria Anna Elisabeth (née Esleben, 1881–1950) and (1877–1948), an architect, as the second of seven siblings and was raised Catholic.
