Paul Rhoads
Paul Robert Rhoads (born February 2, 1967) is an American football coach. He is currently a Defensive Analyst at Mississippi State University. A long-time major conference assistant coach and head coach, he is best-known for his seven-year tenure as head coach at Iowa State. Rhoads played defensive back at Missouri Western State University. Playing career Rhoads was a prep special mention all-state free safety and valedictorian of his high school class at Ankeny, Iowa before lettering for three-years at Missouri Western State University from 1986 to 1988, where he played defensive back alongside Leland Williams. He graduated in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in economics and was the recipient of the Chris Faros Scholarship, honoring the program's top senior student-athlete. Mississippi State Bulldogs Football
The Mississippi State Bulldogs football program represents Mississippi State University in the sport of American football. In American football, the specific role that a player takes on the field is referred to as their position. Under the modern rules of American football, both teams are allowed 11 players on the field at one time and have "unlimited free substitutions", meaning that they may change any number of players during any dead ball situation. Patrick Daniel McCarney (born July 28, 1953) is an American former college football coach. He served as the head football coach at Iowa State University from 1995 to 2006 and the University of North Texas from 2011 to 2015, compiling a career head coaching record of 78–117. Playing career McCarney played football at Iowa City High School, and was an offensive lineman at the University of Iowa from 1972 to 1974 and was named team captain in 1974. John Harold Cooper (born July 2, 1937) is an American former college football coach and player. Cooper was an assistant coach at Iowa State, Oregon State, UCLA, Kansas, and Kentucky. Then, he embarked on a head coaching career, as he served as the head coach at the University of Tulsa (1977–1984), Arizona State University (1985–1987), and Ohio State University (1988–2000), compiling a career record of 192–84–6. Charles Shelton (August 16, 1935 – February 13, 2020) was an American college football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Drake University from 1977 until 1985, at Utah State University from 1986 to 1992, and at University of the Pacific in Stockton, California from 1992 to 1995, compiling a career college football coaching record of 81–127–1.
