Paul Rennie
Paul Andrew Rennie (born 26 October 1971) is an English former footballer who played for Crewe Alexandra, Stoke City and Wigan Athletic. Career Rennie began his career with his hometown club Crewe Alexandra playing twice during the 1989–90 season. He left for nearby Stoke City in the summer of 1990 but in his two seasons at the Victoria Ground he failed to make an impression playing in just six matches. He then played two seasons with Wigan Athletic before dropping into non-league football with Nantwich Town. Career statistics Source: :A. Crewe
Crewe () is a railway town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. The Crewe built-up area had a total population of 75,556 in 2011, which also covers parts of the adjacent civil parishes of Willaston, Shavington cum Gresty and Wistaston. Crewe is perhaps best known as a large railway junction and home to Crewe Works; for many years, it was a major railway engineering facility for manufacturing and overhauling locomotives, but now much reduced in size. Overview Premiership Blackburn Rovers ended their 81-year wait for the league title thanks to the strike partnership of Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton which scored a total of more than 50 league goals. Manchester United would have made it three league titles in a row if they had been able to turn a 1–1 draw with West Ham United into a win on the final day of the season. Newly promoted Nottingham Forest finished third and qualified for the UEFA Cup along with fourth placed Liverpool (also League Cup winners) and fifth placed Leeds United. After this season the Premier League would be reduced to 20 clubs, so there would be four relegation places this time round. The Football League Second Division was the second level division in the English football league system between 1892 and 1992. Following the foundation of the FA Premier League, the Football League divisions were renumbered and the third tier became known as the Football League Second Division. After the rebranding of the Football League in 2003–04, it became known as Football League One.
