Paul Renkert
Paul Renkert is a retired American soccer forward who played professionally in the North American Soccer League, Major Indoor Soccer League, American Soccer League. Renkert graduated from Newport High School. In 1976, Renkert signed with the Seattle Sounders of the North American Soccer League. He spent the 1976 season on the reserve squad then played one game during the 1977 season. On March 30, 1979, Renkert joined the California Sunshine of the North American Soccer League. In the fall of 1980, he moved to the Denver Avalanche The Denver Avalanche were an American soccer team based out of Denver, Colorado that played in the Major Indoor Soccer League from 1980 to 1982. Seattle Sounders Football Club is an American professional men's soccer club based in Seattle. The Sounders compete as a member of the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS). The club was established on November 13, 2007, and began play in 2009 as an MLS expansion team. The Sounders are a phoenix club, carrying the same name as the original Sounders franchise that competed in the North American Soccer League (NASL) from 1974 to 1983. The club's majority owner is Adrian Hanauer, and its minority owners are the estate of Paul Allen, Drew Carey, and 14 families from the Seattle area. Newport High School (NHS) is a public high school in Bellevue, Washington. It serves students in grades 9–12 in the southern part of the Bellevue School District, including the neighborhoods of Eastgate, Factoria, Newport Hills, Newport Shores, Somerset, The Summit, and Sunset.
