Paul Merton
Paul James Martin (born 9 July 1957), known by the stage name Paul Merton, is an English comedian who is best known as one of the two regular panellists on the television show '' Have I Got News for You''. Known for his improvisation skill, Merton's humour is rooted in deadpan, surreal and sometimes dark comedy. He has been ranked by critics, fellow comedians and viewers to be among Britain's greatest comedians. He made his breakthrough in the late 1980s as a regular performer on the original British version of the comedy improvisation show ''Whose Line Is It Anyway?'', and has been a team captain on '' Have I Got News for You'' since it began in 1990. He was also the host of '' Room 101'' from 1999 to 2007, replacing original host Nick Hancock. Parsons Green is a mainly residential district in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The Parsons Green (The green), Green itself, which is roughly triangular, is bounded on two of its three sides by the New King's Road section of the King's Road, A308 road and Parsons Green Lane. The wider neighbourhood is bounded by the Harwood and Wandsworth Bridge Roads, A217 road to the east and Munster Road to the west, while the Fulham Road, A3219 road may be said to define its northern boundary. Caroline Quentin
Caroline Quentin (born Caroline Amanda Jane Jones; 11 July 1960) is an English actress, broadcaster and television presenter. Quentin became known for her television appearances, portraying Dorothy in ''Men Behaving Badly'' (1992–1998), Maddie Magellan in ''Jonathan Creek'' (1997–2000), Kate Salinger in '' Kiss Me Kate'' and DCI Janine Lewis in '' Blue Murder'' (2003–2009). ''Room 101'' is a radio comedy series on BBC Radio 4 hosted by Paul Merton. Celebrities are invited to discuss their "least favourite people, places and pop songs" in order to have them consigned to Room 101. ''Paul Merton in China'' is a four-part television series broadcast on Five commencing from 21 May 2007. It follows the journey of writer and comedian, Paul Merton and his interpreter Emma, as they travel across the vast country, exploring Chinese culture, expansion and changes from the rule of Mao Zedong. The series was a hit for Five and Merton confirmed on Michael Parkinson's show that a second series entitled ''Paul Merton in India'' had been commissioned. ''Room 101'' is a BBC comedy television series based on the radio series of the same name, in which celebrities are invited to discuss their pet hates and persuade the host to consign those hates to oblivion in Room 101, a location whose name was inspired by the torture room in George Orwell's 1949 novel ''Nineteen Eighty-Four'' which reputedly contained "the worst thing in the world". ''Just a Minute'' is a BBC Radio 4 radio comedy panel game. For more than 50 years, with a few exceptions, it was hosted by Nicholas Parsons.
