Paul Stewart McLennan is a Scottish politician who served as Minister for Housing between 2023 and 2025. A member of the Scottish National Party (SNP), he has been the Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for East Lothian since 2021. 2007 East Lothian Council Election
Elections to East Lothian Council were held on 3 May 2007, the same day as the other Scottish local government elections and the Scottish Parliament general election. The election was the first using seven new wards created as a result of the Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004. Each ward elected three or four councillors using the single transferable vote system of proportional representation. The wards replaced 23 single-member wards which used the plurality (first past the post) system of election.
