Paul Maley
Paul Maley (born July 28, 1966) is an American and Australian former basketball player. He played college basketball for Yale where he was the Ivy League Player of the Year in 1988. Following his college career, he played professionally in Ireland and Australia. Nicknamed The Mailman, he won the NBL championship with the North Melbourne Giants in 1994. Early life Maley attended Los Alamos High School in Los Alamos, New Mexico. College career After missing most of his freshman season with ankle injuries, Maley was a three-year starter the rest of his college career. He finished 11th on Yale's all-time scoring list with 1,177 points. During his senior year, he averaged 20.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per game and was named First-team All-Ivy League and the Ivy League Player of the Year, becoming the first Yale player to win the award. Forward (basketball)
Basketball is a sport with five players on the court for each team at a time. Each player is assigned to different Position (team sports), positions defined by the strategic role they play. Guard, forward and center are the three main position categories. The standard team features two guards, two forwards, and a center. The guards are typically called the "back court" and the forwards and centers the "front court". Anneli Maley
Anneli Maley (born 1 September 1998) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Perth Redbacks of the NBL1 West. She is also contracted with the Perth Lynx of the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL). She made her WNBL debut in 2016 and then spent two seasons in the United States playing college basketball for the Oregon Ducks and TCU Horned Frogs. With the Bendigo Spirit in 2022, she was named the WNBL Most Valuable Player. Early life and career Maley was born in Melbourne, Victoria, in the suburb of East Melbourne. She attended Eltham High School and played both basketball and volleyball as a youth.
