Paul Le Claire
Paul Vincent Le Claire (born 1963) is a Jersey politician who was a member of the States of Jersey from 1999 to 2011. He represented the Saint Helier District No.1 constituency and between 1999 and 2005 had an island-wide mandate as a senator. Biography He was born in 1963 in Jersey. Electoral history Le Claire first stood in a by-election for a vacant senatorial seat in a by-election held in February 1999, coming second to Jerry Dorey with 1,811 votes. In a subsequent by-election in April 1999, he was, however, successful in gaining one of the three seats as a deputy for St Helier No.1 District. Later that year, Le Claire again sought an island-wide mandate as senator. He was elected in the October 1999 general election, coming fourth with 8,287 votes in a contest for six seats. Jerry Dorey
Jerry Dorey was a member of the States of Jersey from 1993–2005. Biography Jerry Dorey was born in 1951 at Ealing, London. He was educated at Victoria College, Jersey and Oxford University, gaining an M.A. (Oxon) in French. He took up a career as a freelance computer programmer in Jersey before being elected to the States of Jersey as Deputy for Saint Helier No.1 district in 1993. General elections were held in Jersey on 19 October 2011 to elect 45 members of the States Assembly. This was the first time Senators, Deputies and Constables were elected on a single day in Jersey. The number of members of the States of Jersey was reduced from 53 to 51. Six Senators who had been elected in 2008 for a period of six years did not face election in 2011. Terry Le Main (born November 1939) is a former Jersey politician. Biography Terence John Le Main was born in November 1939 in Jersey. He was educated at Hautlieu Grammar School. Electoral history He was first elected to the States of Jersey as Deputy of Saint Helier No. 2 in 1978 (re-elected 1984). He was elected as Senator in 1994 and re-elected in 1990. In the 1996 Senatorial election he was ousted in 7th place with 9,578 votes. He then successfully stood for election is his former Deputorial seat in St Helier No. 2 in 1996, topping the poll with 669 votes, and topped the poll again in 1999 (782 votes) and was re-elected in 2002. He stood again as Senator in 2005 and was returned to the Senatorial benches in 4th place with 12,159 votes.
