Paul Adams (sport Shooter)
Paul Adams (born 4 June 1992) is an Australian sports shooter. He competed in the men's skeet event at the 2016 Summer Olympics and at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Adams represented Australia at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. He competed in the men's skeet event but did not score sufficient points to advance past qualification. Paul Adams (pilot)
Paul Adams (August 10, 1920 – June 30, 2013) was a World War II pilot with the Tuskegee Airmen. He was one of the first black teachers in the Lincoln Nebraska public school system. Adams also served as the president of the Lincoln Chapter of the NAACP. In 2008 the city of Lincoln Nebraska built a new elementary school and named it after Adams. The mascot of the school in an aviator. Military service Adams joined the army in 1942 and began fighter pilot training at Tuskegee University in Alabama. He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in 1943. He was assigned to the 332nd Fighter Group and sent to Naples Italy. In 1945, Captain Adams came back to the United States and was discharged. In 1947 Adams reenlisted in the army as a 1st Lieutenant. After many assignments eventually Adams was assigned to Lincoln Nebraska as Deputy Base Commander. Paul Adams (born August 1951) is an American musician, writer and musical instrument builder. Early career Adams began his foray into the arts by making stringed musical instruments such as guitars, banjos, basses, and dulcimers after he was introduced to the craft as an ethnomusicology student under Dr. Joel Maring at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Composing In the 1980s, Adams decided to start composing music and got a label deal with Nature Recordings/World Disc (now defunct). His first album, ''Various Waves'', was placed in the Top Five of the Year by the syndicated Radio Show Musical Starstreams in the 1990s. The ''Metro Silicon Valley'' stated that "Adams is perhaps the most important New Age musician since George Winston." Adams left the label after his first release in order to produce music in genres other than New Age. Paul Adams (born 22 December 1949) is an English former cricket umpire. A schoolmaster by profession, Adams began officiating in county cricket in the Minor Counties Championship in 1987. He first officiated in List A one-day matches in 1991, when he stood at Canterbury in the match between Kent and Cambridgeshire in the NatWest Trophy. Adams officiated in List A matches until 2002, standing in 12 matches in the NatWest Trophy (and from 2001, its successor the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy), in addition to standing in one match between first-class counties in the 2001 Norwich Union League. In addition to standing in List A matches, Adams also stood in 23 first-class matches from 1992 to 2002, following an invitation to join the first-class reserve umpires list for 1992. Paul L. "Sparky" Adams (April 5, 1921 – July 4, 1986) was an American football, cross country running, and track and field coach. He served as the head football coach at Baldwin–Wallace College—now known at Baldwin Wallace University—in Berea, Ohio from 1954 to 1957, compiling a record of 8–25–1. In 1958, he stepped down to become an assistant football coach, so he could focus his roles as the head cross country and track coach at Baldwin–Wallace, positions that he held until his retirement in 1983. Paul Richard Adams, FRS is a neuroscientist currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior at Stony Brook University in New York. He graduated from London University with a PhD, and did postdoctoral work with Bert Sakmann at the Max Planck Institute. He won the Novartis Memorial Prize in 1979 and the Gaddum Memorial Award in 1984, both from the British Pharmacological Society. He was made a MacArthur Foundation Prize Fellow in 1986, and elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1991. From 1987 to 1995 he was an investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
