Paul F. Zukunft
Paul Frederick Zukunft (born 30 January 1955) is a retired Admiral (United States), admiral of the United States Coast Guard who served as the 25th Commandant of the United States Coast Guard, commandant. He was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the commandant, with the rank of admiral, in May 2014 and relieved Robert J. Papp Jr. as commandant on 30 May 2014. Prior to his selection as commandant, he served as commander, Coast Guard Pacific Area. In this position, Zukunft was the operational commander for all U.S. Coast Guard missions within the half of the world that ranges from the Rocky Mountains to the waters off the East Coast of Africa. Joint Interagency Task Force West
Joint Interagency Task Force West (JIATF-W or JIATF West) is a standing United States military joint task force with the mission of combating drug-related transnational organized crime in the Indo-Asia-Pacific. JIATF West's area of responsibility (AOR) is that of United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM). JIATF West is one of two Joint Interagency Task Forces with a counter-narcotics mission. The other is Joint Interagency Task Force South. The task force is run as USINDOPACOM's "executive agent" for counterdrug activities providing support to partner nation law enforcement. Deepwater Horizon Unified Command
The Unified Command provided Incident Command System/ Unified Command (ICS) for coordinating response to the ''Deepwater Horizon'' oil spill. The organization was initially headquartered at the Shell Robert Training and Conference Center in Robert, Louisiana. On June 15, 2010, they announced plans to move its 350 staff into of space to downtown New Orleans, Louisiana near the Superdome. The Commendation Medal is a mid-level United States military decoration presented for sustained acts of heroism or meritorious service. Meritorious Service Medal (United States)
The Meritorious Service Medal (MSM) is a military award presented to members of the United States Armed Forces who distinguish themselves with outstanding meritorious achievement or service to the United States. Introduced in 1969, the MSM was long awarded as a decoration for peacetime achievement. Since 2004, it has also been bestowed in lieu of the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious achievement in a designated combat theater.
