Paul Devlin (curler)
Paul Ernest Devlin (September 16, 1946 – March 7, 2021) was a Canadian curler. He has skipped two teams at the Brier, Canada's national men's championship, representing both Alberta and British Columbia. Curling career Devlin, originally from Winnipeg, lost in the finals of the 1969 Manitoba provincial championships to Bobby Robinson. He later moved to Edmonton around 1977 and lost in the final of the 1978 Alberta men's championship to Ed Lukowich, who went on to win the Brier. During the 1979 playdowns, Devlin, who was a car salesman, was given the choice by his employer to either pick curling or his career, and he chose curling. That year, he and teammates John Hunter, Pat Ryan and brother Derek defeated Lukowich in a re-match of the 1978 final, earning them the right to represent the province at the 1979 Macdonald Brier. Paul Josiah Devlin is an American independent filmmaker. He is also a professional video editor, often working in sports broadcasting. Early life and education Devlin was born in 1963. While attending high school in New Jersey, Devlin penned a now widely shared "I reject your rejection" letter to the admissions department at Harvard University. The letter was published twice in the New York times, copied and re-purposed, as well as performed by prominent actors onstage through the London-based group Letters Live. Himesh Patel performed the letter at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2022. While attending the University of Michigan, Devlin produced, directed and edited his first documentary Rockin' Brunswick starring Matt Pinfield; broadcast his first music video "You Don't Know Me" on MTV's Basement Tapes, hosted by Billy Crystal; participated in a screenwriting workshop led by Lawrence Kasdan; and worked as a production assistant on Robert Altman's Secret Honor, filmed in Ann ...

Paul John Devlin (born 14 April 1972) is a former footballer who played as a midfielder or forward. He made more than 500 appearances in the Football League and Premier League, as well as playing in the League of Ireland for Bohemians and spending several years in non-league football. He was capped ten times for the Scotland national team. Club career Early life and club career Devlin was born and raised in the Erdington district of Birmingham and attended Perry Common Comprehensive School. After leaving school he trained as a chef in a hotel and on day release at college. He played youth football for Boldmere St. Michaels, St John's Celtic and Tamworth before making 12 appearances for Tamworth's first team as a teenager.
