Paul Corley
Paul Corley is an American composer, producer, and sound artist. Biography Corley joined the Icelandic music collective and record label Bedroom Community in 2007, working alongside Nico Muhly, Ben Frost and Valgeir Sigurðsson. In 2012 Corley released his debut solo album 'Disquiet' and also composed his first score for the theatre, Hreinsun at the National Theatre of Iceland. Textura.org commented on Disquiet as "nothing short of remarkable", while Popmatters made note of how the record "deals more in the silence around the music than the music itself". Corley has collaborated and produced albums with Oneohtrix Point Never, Gabi, Tim Hecker & Ben Frost. His work with Frost has covered numerous stage works and film scores, including the Palme d'Or nominated Sleeping Beauty, the UK television show Fortitude and the music-theatre adaptation of the Iain Banks novel The Wasp Factory. Nico Asher Muhly (; born August 26, 1981) is an American contemporary classical music composer and arranger who has worked and recorded with both classical and pop musicians. A prolific composer, he has composed for many notable symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles and has had two operas commissioned by the Metropolitan Opera. Since 2006, he has released nine studio albums, many of which are collaborative, including 2017's ''Planetarium'' with Sufjan Stevens, Bryce Dessner & James McAlister. Ben Frost
Ben Frost (born 1980) is an Australian-Icelandic musician, composer, record producer, sound designer, and director. Life Born in Melbourne, Australia, and based in Reykjavík, Iceland, since 2005, Frost composes minimalist, instrumental, and experimental music, with influences ranging from classical minimalism to punk rock and black metal. His early releases include the guitar-oriented albums ''Steel Wound'' (2003) and ''School of Emotional Engineering'' (as part of the band School of Emotional Engineering) (2004). Valgeir Sigurðsson
Valgeir Sigurðsson (born 18 June 1971) is an Icelandic record producer, mixer, composer, audio engineer and musician. Biography Coming from a musical background, Valgeir's fascination with recording technology led to a job in a small recording studio at the age of 16. He plays keyboards, bass, percussion, electronics/programming and studied classical guitar, graduating with a Tonmeister degree from London's SAE Institute. In 1998 Valgeir was hired by fellow countrywoman Björk as engineer and programmer on the soundtrack for Lars von Trier's ''Dancer in the Dark''. A song from the film, ''I've Seen It All'' (a duet with Radiohead's Thom Yorke) was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song but lost to Bob Dylan's '' Things Have Changed''. Daniel Lopatin (born July 25, 1982), best known as Oneohtrix Point Never or OPN, is an American experimental electronic music producer, composer, singer and songwriter. Sigur Rós () is an Icelandic post-rock band from Reykjavík, active since 1994. Alex Somers
Alex Somers (born March 7, 1984) is an American visual artist and musician from Baltimore, Maryland, who attended Berklee College of Music and Listaháskóli Íslands. Somers lives and works in Los Angeles. Previously he ran a recording studio in downtown Reykjavík where he produced, engineered, and mixed since 2010. He and his former partner Jónsi, with whom he split in 2019, produce music and visual art under the name Jónsi & Alex. The pair have released an album and a picture book, both titled '' Riceboy Sleeps''. Jónsi and Somers have also collaborated on Jónsi's solo project.
