Paul Codd
Paul Codd (born 1 December 1976) is an Irish former hurling, hurler. At club level, he played with Rathnure GAA, Rathnure and at inter-county level was a member of the Wexford senior hurling team. Career At club level, Codd first played for Rathnure GAA, Rathnure at juvenile and underage levels, before progressing to adult level. He went on to win four Wexford Senior Hurling Championship, Wexford SHC titles between 1996 and 2003, as well as a Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship, Leinster Club SHC medal in 1998. Codd was also part of the Rathnure team beaten by St Joseph's Doora-Barefield GAA, St Joseph's Doora-Barefield in the 1999 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship final, 1999 All-Ireland club final. He won a fifth and final SHC title after a defeat of Oulart–The Ballagh GAA, Oulart–The Ballagh in 2006. Rathnure GAA
Rathnure St Anne's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Rathnure, County Wexford, Ireland. Rathnure's most famous players are the Rackards and Quigley brothers. First AGM At a meeting in Rathnure in the year 1931, Rathnure St Anne's GAA Club was founded. Founder members on that night were Pat Byrne, James O'Leary, Pat Doyle, Thomas Murphy, Nick Mernagh, Denis Brennan and Master O'Rielly. Also on the night, the meeting was attended by two 14-year-old boys Mikey Redmond and Ned Caulfield. The first Chairman of the club was Mr. Hugh O'Rielly, the first Secretary was Pat Byrne and the first Treasurer was Pat Doyle. Johnny O'Connor (hurler)
John P. O'Connor (1928 – 31 October 2010), known as Johnny O'Connor, was an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Waterford senior team. Born in Abbeyside, County Waterford, O'Connor first played competitive hurling during his schooling at Dungarvan CBS. He arrived on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Waterford minor team. He made his senior debut during the 1946–47 league. O'Connor subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won one All-Ireland medal and two Munster medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial on a number of occasions O'Connor won one Railway Cup medal. At club level he won several championship medals playing with Abbeyside, Clonea, UCD, Castletownroche and Avondhu. Larry O'Gorman
Larry O'Gorman (born October 1967) is an Irish former hurler. At club level, he played with Faythe Harriers and at inter-county level was a member of the Wexford senior hurling team. Career At club level, O'Gorman first played for Faythe Harriers in Wexford at juvenile and underage levels. He won consecutive Wexford U21HC titles in 1987 and 1988. By that stage, O'Gorman had progressed to the club's senior team. He won a Wexford SHC title in 2001 following a 0-13 to 0-09 win over Rapparees in the final. O'Gorman first appeared on the inter-county scene with Wexford as a member of the minor team. He won a Leinster MHC medal in 1985, before losing the subsequent All-Ireland minor final to Cork. Rory McCarthy
Rory McCarthy (born 4 September 1975) is a retired Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club St Martin's and with the Wexford senior inter-county team. He played in the half-back line. Career McCarthy first played hurling and Gaelic football to a high standard as a student at St Peter's College in Wexford. He lined out in all grades as a dual player during his time there, and was part of the team that won the Leinster Colleges SFC title after a defeat of Portarlington CBS in 1992. McCarthy later studied at University of Limerick and lined out in the university's Fitzgibbon Cup team beaten by University College Cork in the 1996 final. At club level, McCarthy first played for the St Martin's club in the juvenile and underage grades before progressing to adult level. Martin Storey
Martin Storey (born 28 September 1964) is an Irish former hurler who played as a centre-forward at senior level for the Wexford county team. Regarded as one of the greatest Wexford players of all-time, Storey made his first appearance for the team during the 1986 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement before the 2001 championship. During that time he won one All-Ireland medal, two Leinster medals and three All-Star awards. At club level Storey was a five-time county club championship medalist with Oulart–The Ballagh. In retirement from playing Storey has become involved in team management and coaching. After serving as a selector at club level, he subsequently served as trainer of the Wexford senior camogie team and manager of the Wexford minor hurling team.
