Paul Chervet (20 October 1941 – 16 July 2015) was a Swiss boxer. He competed in the men's flyweight event at the 1960 Summer Olympics. At the 1960 Summer Olympics, he defeated Kicha Poonphol of Thailand by decision in the Round of 32, before losing to Mircea Dobrescu Mircea Dobrescu (5 September 1930 – 6 August 2015) was a flyweight boxer from Romania. He competed at the 1952, 1956, and 1960 Olympics and won a silver medal in 1956, losing to Terence Spinks on points. Boxing At The 1960 Summer Olympics – Flyweight
The men's flyweight event was part of the Boxing at the 1960 Summer Olympics, boxing programme at the 1960 Summer Olympics. The weight class was the lightest contested, and allowed boxers of up to 51 kilograms to compete. The competition was held from 25 August to 5 September 1960. 33 boxers from 33 nations competed. Competition format The competition was a straight single-elimination tournament, with no bronze medal match (two bronze medals were awarded, one to each semifinal loser). Mircea Dobrescu (5 September 1930 – 6 August 2015) was a flyweight boxer from Romania.
