Paul Barham
Paul Barham (born 29 April 1989 from Basildon, Essex) is a former English professional darts player who played in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Barham won three PDC Youth Tour events in 2011, and finished second in the Youth Tour Order of Merit. He reached the semi-finals of the 2012 PDC World Youth Championship, where he lost to James Hubbard. Barham qualified for the 2012 PDC World Darts Championship as the Youth Tour Order of Merit runner-up. He lost in the preliminary round 2–4 against Hong Kong's Scott MacKenzie. On the PDC Pro Tour in 2012 Barham could only reach the last 64 once out of all the events he played. Barham failed to qualify for the 2013 UK Open as he finished 142nd on the Order of Merit, outside of the top 96 who claimed their places. Basildon
Basildon ( ) is the largest town in the borough of Basildon, within the county of Essex, England. It has a population of 107,123. In 1931 the parish had a population of 1159. It lies east of Central London, south of the city of Chelmsford and west of Southend-on-Sea. 2013 UK Open
The 2013 Speedy Services UK Open was a darts tournament staged by the Professional Darts Corporation. It was the eleventh year of the UK Open tournament where, following numerous regional qualifying heats throughout Britain, players competed in a single elimination tournament to be crowned champion. The tournament was held at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, England, between 6–9 June 2013, and has the nickname, "the FA Cup of darts" as a random draw is staged after each round until the final. Phil Taylor won the title, defeating Andy Hamilton 11–4 in the final to claim his fifth and final UK Open title. The 2013 UK Open was the last UK Open to be held at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, and was the last UK Open to be broadcast on Sky Sports in June. The ''Essex County Standard'' is a weekly newspaper, published in Colchester, Essex. In August 2019 Newsquest announced it would no longer subscribe to the Audit Bureau of Circulation, the body that provides independently verified circulation figures to advertisers. It is currently owned by the Newsquest Media Group, part of the American Gannett Company. History The Essex County Standard was founded in January 1831, then called the ''Essex Standard''. It was to be a weekly Tory paper and "a Standard around which the loyal, the religious, and the well-affected of our County may rally". Originally printed in Chelmsford, it was acquired by a John Taylor in September 1831, who moved it to new premises in Colchester. The paper was sold to Edward Benham, T. Ralling, and Henry B. James Hornsby High School
The James Hornsby School is a co-educational secondary school located in Laindon, in the Borough of Basildon, Essex, England. It was formed from the merger in 1998 of the Laindon School and Nicholas Comprehensive, and occupies the site of the latter. The name 'James Hornsby' comes from the name of the last headmaster who taught at the nearby St Nicholas's Church in the 19th century. The school specialised and became James Hornsby High School Sports College by 2009 and became an academy in October 2012, changing the name to ''James Hornsby School''. The 2016 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships, UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. In 2016 there were 36 PDC Pro Tour events held – 20 Players Championships, six UK Open Qualifiers and ten European Tour events. Prize money Prize money for each Players Championship has increased from £60,000 to £75,000 per event. The UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events stays the same as in 2015. Brian "Doggy" Dawson (born 12 December 1968) is an English professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Dawson began to see success in the 2014–15 season as he qualified for the televised stages of the Winmau World Masters, losing narrowly to Glen Durrant after having match darts. Dawson then debuted at the World Championship and reached the quarter-finals, after victories against Seigo Asada, Madars Razma, and Jeffrey de Graaf Jeffrey de Graaf (born 21 November 1990) is a Dutch darts player. Scott MacKenzie (darts Player)
Scott MacKenzie (born 21 February 1972) is a retired Brazilian-born British professional darts player based in Hong Kong. He has represented Hong Kong on numerous occasions (in both steel tip and soft tip darts), including captaining the Hong Kong team at the 2008 Asia Pacific Cup in New Zealand and 2012 team to Australia. He was also a member of the 2010 and 2016 Asia Pacific Cup teams. He has played in a total of 3 PDC World Championships and 3 PDC World Cups currently more than any other Hong Kong darts player.
