''Paul'' is the sixth and third self-released studio album by American singer-songwriter PJ Morton. It was released on August 9, 2019, by Morton Records and Empire Records. ''Paul'' incorporates R&B styles with elements of soul music. The album is entirely produced by Morton himself and features guest appearances by Tobe Nwigwe, Jazmine Sullivan, Rapsody, JoJo and Angela Rye. PJ Morton
P.J. Morton (born Paul Sylvester Morton Jr.; March 29, 1981) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. Since 2012, he has been the keyboardist for the pop band Maroon 5. Morton originally joined the band as a touring member in 2010 and became an official member in 2012 after Jesse Carmichael went on a short hiatus (he returned to the band in 2014). Morton released his debut solo EP, ''Following My First Mind'', in March 2012, through the record label Young Money. Maroon 5 band members Adam Levine and James Valentine were featured on the lead single, "Heavy". In May 2013, Morton released his first major-label debut album, ''New Orleans''. In 2016, he released his mixtape ''Bounce & Soul Vol. 1'' in March and the ''Sticking to My Guns'' EP in July. Joanna Noëlle "JoJo" Levesque (; born December 20, 1990) is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She began performing in singing competitions and local talent shows as a child. "Yearning for Your Love" is a 1980 ballad recorded and released by The Gap Band on Mercury Records. The single was the third release off the band's fifth album, ''The Gap Band III'' (1980). Four different singles, each with a different B-side, were released in 1981. It was released on April 14, 2017, by Morton Records, as the follow-up to his third studio album ''New Orleans'' (2013). The record incorporates R&B styles with elements of older soul music; its lyrics discuss themes of romance and explores political and personal themes. Marlanna Evans (born January 21, 1983), better known by her stage name Rapsody, is an American rapper.
